Branding and identity for LA’s newest bagel shop

Mustard’s bagels are handmade, “craggly” and paired with surprising, untraditional flavors, and we wanted the branding to reflect that.
The hand-drawn type and custom illustrations—often scattered, often a little messy—evoke the playfulness at the heart of their recipes.
While there is a core logo, I designed a system where the branding could be easily used in all instances, all formats and all sizes.
